The Recoleta neighbourhood is one of the most beautiful in South America, a magnificent ensemble of French Beaux-Arts and Italian Renaissance buildings housing the famous Cementerio de la Recoleta where Eva Perón and other Argentine luminaries are buried in elaborate mausoleums. The MALBA museum has one of the finest collections of Latin American art in the world. The San Telmo neighbourhood is the most historically authentic in Buenos Aires with outstanding antique markets, tango venues and excellent restaurants in beautiful cobblestone streets. La Boca with its colourful Caminito alley provides the most photographed neighbourhood in the city. Argentine steak at Don Julio or La Cabrera is simply among the finest beef experiences in the world.
