NH Atlanta Rotterdam occupies a rare survivor: an Art Deco building on the Coolsingel, designed by The Hague architect F.A.W. van der Togt and opened in 1931 as Hotel Atlanta. One of few structures to withstand the May 1940 bombing, it became a municipal monument in 1998, and marble floors, chandeliers and period details still grace its public areas. The hotel offers 215 rooms plus six residence-style apartments, Brasserie Atlanta for international dining, meeting rooms and a roof garden. It faces the World Trade Center, with the Lijnbaan, the Koopgoot and Markthal moments away, ideal for design-minded city and business stays.
