In the lively Botanique quarter of Brussels, nhow Brussels Bloom reinvents a monumental 1970s Brutalist tower, once the city's most exclusive hotel and host to Michael Jackson and Ronald Reagan, as an exuberant art hub. Each of its 305 rooms is styled like a gallery, with every floor devoted to a different artist; London painter Jessica Thacker created vivid, music-inspired abstracts for one. Guests build breakfasts at an Instagram-friendly waffle food truck, sample street food and cocktails in the colourful restaurant and bar, and can order an easel to paint in-room. An eighth-floor gym overlooks the skyline. It suits art lovers and creative travellers steps from the Botanical Gardens and concert venue.
