Angkor Wat is one of the world's great archaeological sites and the reason most visitors come to Cambodia. The scale of the complex is extraordinary with temples spread across a vast jungle landscape. Siem Reap has developed well around this heritage with excellent hotels and restaurants. Phnom Penh rewards time with its Royal Palace, National Museum and the difficult history documented at Tuol Sleng. The coastline of southern Cambodia is less visited but genuinely beautiful.
