Elect's take
"Kenya is the definitive East African safari destination. The Maasai Mara is extraordinary but the country offers so much more and every region rewards exploration with something genuinely remarkable."
The Maasai Mara is one of the world's great wildlife destinations. The annual wildebeest migration from July to October when over a million animals cross from Tanzania is one of the most spectacular natural events on Earth. Amboseli provides outstanding elephant encounters with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Nairobi is a more interesting city than its reputation suggests with excellent restaurants, art galleries and direct proximity to Nairobi National Park. The Kenyan coast around Diani provides excellent beach experiences to combine with safari.
