Elect's take
"Da Nang has transformed itself into one of the finest beach resort destinations in Southeast Asia. The combination of excellent hotels, a beautiful long beach, outstanding food and easy access to Hoi An and Hue creates a destination that I find consistently impressive."
My Khe Beach stretches for kilometres of fine golden sand with clear warm water and an excellent selection of resort hotels providing outstanding facilities. The Marble Mountains, five limestone and marble outcrops housing Buddhist sanctuaries, caves and extraordinary hilltop views, are approximately 10 kilometres south. The Ba Na Hills cable car, one of the world's longest, provides access to the extraordinary Golden Bridge supported by giant stone hands — one of the most photographed structures in contemporary Asia. Dragon Bridge over the Han River breathes fire every Saturday and Sunday evening. Hoi An Ancient Town is 30 minutes south; Hue Imperial City is 2 hours north.
