The Red Sand Dunes and White Sand Dunes of Mui Ne are extraordinary natural features, vast expanses of rust-red and white sand that shift in the coastal wind and provide a completely unexpected desert landscape above the South China Sea. The Fairy Stream is a beautiful shallow stream winding through rust-coloured sandstone formations and surrounded by jungle that provides an outstanding walking experience. The windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions at Mui Ne are among the best in Southeast Asia with consistent winds from November to April. The fishing village atmosphere and fresh seafood restaurants along the beach road are excellent. Phan Thiet town nearby has good local character.
