The Bridge on the River Kwai and the Death Railway represent one of the most significant and moving war history experiences in Southeast Asia. The JEATH War Museum provides an excellent and respectful account of the construction of the railway and the suffering of the Allied prisoners of war. The Erawan National Park, approximately 70 kilometres north, has one of the most beautiful multi-tiered waterfall systems in Thailand, the turquoise emerald green pools of Erawan Falls providing outstanding swimming in a jungle setting.
